Since January 2012 Tradecorp has been a participant in the United Nations Global Compact. As a result we undertake to align our operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles in the fields of human rights, labour rights, the environment and anti-corruption.
The 10 principles of the Global Compact
Tradecorp will undertake, respect and enact the 10 principles of the Global Compact which states that businesses should:

Human Rights
1. Support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights
2. Ensure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses

Labour Rights
3. Uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to
collective bargaining
4. Help eliminate of all forms of forced and compulsory labour
5. Support effective abolition of child labour
6. Help eliminate discrimination in respect of employment and occupation

The Environment
7. Support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges
8. Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility
9. Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies

Anti-corruption
10. Work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery
In order to comply with the principles of the Global Compact Tradecorp has developed policies that govern the company at a global level. These policies include development of a:

These efforts are in addition to our ongoing efforts to implement and promote the Global Compact.
